Delete Your BugiBox Account & Data

BugiBox lets you permanently delete your account and the personal data linked to it at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and exactly what data is removed or kept.

How to request account & data deletion

Option 1 — In the BugiBox app or website (fastest)

1. Sign in to your BugiBox account (mobile app or bugibox.com).
2. Go to Settings → Account.
3. Tap "Delete account".
4. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately — there is no waiting period.

Note: if you have an order in progress (payment or shipping not yet completed), deletion is temporarily blocked until that order finishes, so money and goods in transit stay protected. Once the order completes you can delete your account.

Option 2 — By email

Write to us from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account". We complete the deletion within 30 days: destek@bugibox.com

Data that is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following personal data is erased or anonymized immediately:

• Your name, email address and phone number (anonymized so they can no longer identify you)
• Profile photo / avatar
• Saved addresses
• Bank / IBAN payout details
• Password and all login sessions (you are signed out on every device)
• Push-notification tokens and registered devices
• Your listings are deactivated and removed from the marketplace

Data that is retained (and why)

Some records must be kept to meet legal and accounting obligations. These are retained in anonymized form — no longer linked to your identifiable profile:

• Completed order and payment records (invoices, transaction history) — required by Turkish tax and commercial law
• Aggregate, anonymized analytics that cannot identify you

Retention period: financial and commercial records are kept for up to 10 years as required by the Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Procedure Law, and are deleted afterwards. All other personal data is removed immediately on account deletion.
